Kellyn Kidwell
Managing Attorney
Kellyn Kidwell, a Florida and Georgia licensed attorney, is the CEO and Founder of The Lilies’ Law Firm LLC. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kellyn studied at Central Piedmont Community College with the financial support of several scholarships aimed at assisting teenage parents achieve degrees in higher education. In 2002, she earned a Political Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Thereafter, she earned a Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Kellyn has a lengthy history in non-profit and public service. While attending law school, she was appointed to serve as a Child Advocate for the North Carolina Guardian Ad Litem Program, where she represented children removed from their homes by Child Protective Services. In 2004, she was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Fellowship by the Legal Aid Society of North Carolina, where she represented victims of domestic violence in protective order cases and human trafficking in immigration cases. During her final year of law school, she interned at the Public Defender’s Office for Hillsborough, North Carolina, where she represented defendants in traffic and criminal matters. Immediately after graduation from law school, Kellyn represented indigent clients for Legal Services of Greater Miami in the housing and tax division. Thereafter, she served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Georgia Department of Labor for over five (5) years. During her work as an Administrative Law Judge, Kellyn became the lead trainer for the judicial staff, during which time she wrote multiple Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses and published “A Practical Guide to Georgia Unemployment Insurance Appeals.” And after taking a brief hiatus to raise children, Kellyn worked as a prosecutor for the City of Atlanta. Kellyn has also work as the Chief of Staff and Staff Attorney Law Clerk for Clayton County’s Chief Magistrate Court Judge Keisha Wright-Hill.
In 2018, Kellyn started a boutique law firm that specialized in helping small business owners with Labor and Employment issues. Because of this experience, Kellyn was invited to work as a Labor and Employment maintenance editor for Westlaw (Thomson Reuters). Later, Kellyn expanded the practice to include debt collection and built upon her family law history which provided legal services for families in crises. Specifically, Kellyn worked in the Juvenile Court of Paulding County in a wide variety of capacities, which allowed her to gain invaluable insight into the complex area of family and relational trauma. She has represented both children and parents who were victims of abuse, neglect, and abandonment, as well as the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services in all areas of dependency proceedings, including Preliminary Protective Hearings, Termination of Parental Rights trials, and everything in between.
In 2020, Kellyn broadened her practice to include debt defense for a national debt counseling vendor as well as legal real estate transactions. Specifically, Kellyn worked in foreclosures, commercial landlord tenant disputes, and as a closing agent. She was hired by JustAnswer to serve a real estate legal consultant for customers nationwide. And, she worked for a variety of closing firms including: BC Law, The Dow Law Firm, Costner Law Group, and Signing Carolina to name a few.
When Kellyn isn't running the law practice, she enjoys podcasting, writing, watching true crime documentaries, and traveling on beach adventures.
Anita Taylor
Director of Property and Paralegal Services
Anita Taylor is our Director of Property and Paralegal Services and has over 21 years of experience in property management. She has managed a wide variety of real estate projects and properties, including public apartment homes, tax-deduction communities, and senior living facilities; thus, she serves as a Tax Credit, Atlanta Housing Authority, MRI, and PHA, Hud/Vash Specialist. Prior to joining our firm, Anita worked as a division manager for some of the largest property management companies in the country where she earned several performance excellent awards for Most Improved Occupancy and Most Improved Community of the Year.
Anita not only understands how to management properties, but she understands how to manage and inspire teams. She has managed new construction and rehabilitation contractors, property inspectors and vendors, maintenance personnel, and leasing agents. Anita has provided training and consulting services regarding how to evaluate new-applicant credit and rental history, tactful solutions to resident complaints, maintaining confidentiality in credit and background checks, and performance of monthly inspections to check for safety and liability issues within units and throughout a community.
However, Anita’s experience in property management is not excluded to management of communities and multi-unit dwellings. She also has over two decades of experience in preparing and monitoring operating budgets, staff supervision, office management, and landlord tenant legal issues. Anita has also earned a myriad of certifications throughout her career; namely, certifications/training in LIHTC, CAM, ARM, and IREM to name a few. Most importantly, Anita is well versed in the legal issues that arise in property management and real estate transactions, and she has served as an expert witness in trials involving neglect in property maintenance and management. Anita has consulted and provided legal support with collections and default proceedings, DHA and HUD guidelines and compliance, lease assignments and renewals, lease terminations and amendments, evictions and foreclosures, residential lease compliance and enforcements, real estate refinances and closings, and nationwide corporate property owner compliance with State/local codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives. Furthermore, Anita is an active member of the National Notary Association which allows her to serve as an on-call, mobile notary throughout both Georgia and North Carolina for legal and/or real estate transactions.
Anita is such the over-achiever, and we are proud to have her on our team! In Anita’s spare time, she is known for cooking, home décor, traveling, and enjoying time with family.
Alyssa Ardrey
Director of Legal Support & Leadership
Alyssa Ardrey earned her BA in International Studies with a concentration in Economic Development from the prestigious Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a scholarship to study at Liberal Arts at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and she has earned a certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University.
Alyssa is very passionate about, and has a demonstrated history in, leadership and female empowerment. During her time at Spelman, she served on the Student Government Association, was a mentor for a student lead organization GRL PWR, and became a member of the Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. After graduating, she also served as a Leadership Team Member for nonprofit organization Girls Going Global and a volunteer for nonprofit organization Girl Talk. Alyssa has also traveled around the county working for well-known global brands in leaderships training. These numerous positions have
contributed to her abilities in leadership, teamwork, communication, and problem solving.
